i have on VS2008 (SP1) c# project that has one form (WinForm) that contains about 350 components (usercontrols which are textboxes) in 5 different tabs.
My ide is horrible slow when changeing any data in the designer ide. E.G. i have to rename all controls and it takes about 5-15 seconds if i type in the new name of the control and click enter.
I already tried all suggested solutions (like setting security-setting in IE, or install the web-dev fix, or configure win-forms in options). But no luck so far.
I can't explain why it is so horrible slow .. VS is running on an Intel Quad core Q9650 with 3.8 GHz, with 8GB ram and on an intel ssd. So this should not be any bottleneck. I also realize that one processor is going up to 70% while VS tries to rename the component.
Any help would be very welcome... as it takes me one day to rename all components otherwise ...
